Local musicians supporting the homeless

Boulder musician Dave Tamkin, who recently released a new country-tinged single “Shoes,” is helping to raise funds for local homeless shelters — and, fittingly, helping to provide shoes for some of Boulder’s homeless population during the COVID-19 crisis (and is encouraging others in the country to follow suit).

Tamkin has also organized a livestream gig with a group of local musicians for the Stone Cottage Social Distancing Live Stream in a virtual gig that will benefit the Boulder Shelter for The Homeless. The concert will be hosted by Stone Cottage Studios, an audio recording and video studio in Boulder, and its founder, musician Jamie Maynard. Check out the virtual concert at 6 p.m. Saturday that will feature some of the Boulder’s top local talent, including the Gasoline LollipopsJames and The Rise (with Maynard), Dave Tamkin & Co. and Avery Johnson.
